Malvern College Summer Academy

Malvern College Summer Academy provides residential educational courses for children of all ages.

Our courses are designed with a strong emphasis on developing both everyday English language skills as well as deep practical experience in other chosen activities. Utilising the fantastic facilities and beautiful surroundings of Malvern College, we pride ourselves on providing a first-class experience for all those who attend our courses.

OUR STAFF

Many of our staff are full-time Malvern College staff, pupils or alumni, and all are carefully selected for their expertise and experience. All Summer Academy staff share a passion for delivering the best possible experience for the children attending our courses.

ENGLISH LESSONS

English is at the heart of all Summer Academy programmes and our focus is on improving spoken English ability and confidence. Therefore lessons tend to be practical and involve out-of-classroom activities. There is also be a strong emphasis on developing study skills and independent learning skills to enable students to continue learning English successfully once they return home.

English lessons are taught in classes of between 8 and 12 and each course generally has between 15 and 20 hours formal English lessons each week. Students will be tested on arrival and placed in a class according to their ability. All English teachers are native speakers and experienced in teaching English.
