A Remarkable Man

To celebrate George Chesterton's 90th birthday, Malvern College has commissioned a biography of this remarkable Old Malvernian, covering his wartime service in the Air Force, his professional cricket-playing career and his many years as a teacher at the College.

This stunning account of a life lived in the most extraordinary period of our history brings together the story of George Chesterton's impressive wartime career in the RAF, his association with some of the most significant cricketers of the time in the era of Amateurs and Professionals, and also his career as a schoolmaster at Malvern College. This is not only the story of George Chesterton's life, but also stands as a chronicle of the social and historical events of our times.

Malvern College is publishing a limited edition of 1,000 hardback copies of the book, which will be available for sale from 16th July 2012 at a price of £25 (add £4 per copy for postage and packing within the UK).
