Autumn in Malvern Festival 2016

We’re delighted to be hosting the Autumn in Malvern Festival at Big School this Friday 21st & Saturday 22nd October. The festival is a renowned series of artistic events and exhibitions held annually in the surroundings of the glorious Malvern Hills.

Friday evening, Professor Christopher Baker will be exploring new ideas that will help us confront the moral, political and economic changes of our times. Malvern College being an apt setting, as it was where William Temple, Archbishop of York, eminent clergy, T.S. Eliot, Dorothy L. Sayers all met to discuss their vision of post-war society on social justice and the unification of Europe as a cooperative commonwealth – The Malvern Conference 1941. Entry is free and doors open at 7.00pm.

Performing on Saturday evening, Emma Abbate, piano, joins the Tippett String Quartet (as seen on the BBC Proms) for Dvorak’s Piano Quintet in A major. The programme also includes pieces from Britten. Tickets are £20 front section and £14 rear section with interval drinks included. Doors at Big School will be open from 7.00pm.
