Make Your Wedding At Malvern

Alex and Martin Haggett tied the knot at Malvern College last year. The newly-weds kindly agreed to answer a few questions about planning their wedding and the big day itself.

Q: What were the key factors in choosing Malvern College for your wedding?

A: It's a blissful location, with the view of the hills to the West and the vista across the Severn plain to the East. So it is a great setting for guests as well as a wonderful backdrop for photographs.  The College buildings themselves are impressive, all of which adds up to a most atmospheric venue. Being an OM, and able to utilise the Chapel was another big bonus. The fact that everything is there, just a short walk apart, is also such an asset.

Q: How did Malvern College help you with the planning for your big day?

A: Enlisting the College to help plan the wedding was akin to having our own wedding planner. They really did their utmost to accommodate our every need, provided us with information about florists, cars and other suppliers, organised food tastings. We really could not fault the planning from beginning to end.

Q: What were the highlights?

A: Seeing how much our guests adored the venue, the service in the Chapel, the reception in the staff room. The conversion of the Gryphon Room using the lining worked superbly, and was a real credit to Leisure Interiors.

Q: How would you describe the experience of holding your wedding at Malvern College to another couple considering using the venue?

A: Don't hesitate to book it! It's the perfect venue. The location is magnificent, the planning is superbly managed by Ruth Dodwell and her team. The advantage of having all the facilities in such close proximity cannot be over-estimated. And as the College is a short walk from the centre of town, our guests who stayed in Malvern could easily get to and from the celebration.
